Five Tricks For Using Sun Fake Tanner

Many people like to tan their skin without risking being in the sun. Commercial products can be purchased to tan your skin that does not need sunlight. Sun fake tanner can be tricky to use, but if you follow the following tips you may have a better experience with this type of product.

Begin with a sun fake tanner color close to your current color. Doing this will result in a gradual darkening after each sun fake tanner application. For people with light skin choosing a light to medium color transition may result in a color that doesn't look like it's achieved by sun fake tanner.

Hair removal should be done before applying any sun fake tanner. If you are planning to wax, it may be a good idea to do so a couple of days before tanning so that all wax residue and effects of waxing have gone. Daily moisturizing and exfoliation in the days before applying sun fake tanner may help to lengthen the time before a repeat application is needed. However, avoid over moisturizing the day of tanning.

Carefully distribute the sun fake tanner onto your skin as instructed on the product. Making sure that no spots are left uncovered could lead to a smoother color result that will be more natural looking as long as you follow what is written in number 1 above. If you are unsure about coverage you can ask a fried or a sunless tanning professional to help.

Let the product dry before putting on anything that will cover the area. Different sunless products may have different drying times. Waiting until the product is fully dry may prevent any clothing from being stained or any product rubbing off.

Extend tanning results by not exfoliating or taking a long bath after tanning is complete. You may want to avoid shaving your legs or other areas where the product was applied for at least two days, because skin cells can also be removed causing fading of a fresh tan. Hair removal should be done before slathering on the sun fake tanner.

Sunless tanning is possibly a way to avoid harmful UV ray over exposure. Use the above techniques to lengthen the time it takes a tan to fade, and help achieve a natural looking coverage of sun fake tanner.
